State of Texas School Accountability Rating

The State of Texas provides annual academic accountability ratings for all public school districts, charter schools, and campuses. These ratings are primarily based on student performance on state standardized tests and graduation rates.

The accountability system evaluates four key areas:

• Student Achievement

• Student Progress

• Closing the Achievement Gap

• Postsecondary Readiness
